Phoenix Coyotes President and COO Douglas Moss announced today the Coyotes are hosting the “Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation Got Skills” competition at Jobing.com Arena Monday and Tuesday, November 6th and 7th. Coyotes defenseman Keith Ballard will participate on Monday and center Mike Comrie will attend the competition on Tuesday.
The Got Skills competition is the NHL’s definitive youth ice hockey skills competition. Kids ages 9-12 compete in fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy shooting, shoot out and best goalie. They will also present the Sports Illustrated Kids award for “Top Skills” for the player with the best overall performance.
After the local competition at Jobing.com Arena, six winners will be selected for travel and six winners for house for both Squirt (9-10 year old) and Pee Wee (11-12 year old). These winners will be invited to the National Championships in New York City in June of 2007.
